How to Save TikTok Videos to Your Phone
The universal steps that work on any phone, Android or iPhone.
Whether you're on an iPhone or an Android phone, saving a TikTok video to your phone follows the same basic pattern. Here's the universal version — see our dedicated iPhone guide or Android guide for screenshots specific to your device.
The Universal Steps
- Open the TikTok video you want to save.
- Tap the Share arrow icon on the right side of the screen.
- Tap Copy link from the share sheet.
- Open your phone's browser and go to savetiktok.sbs.
- Paste the link into the box and tap Download.
- When the preview loads, tap Download Video (or Download MP4).
- Your browser will save the file — usually to a Downloads folder, or straight to your Photos/Gallery app depending on your phone's settings.
Where the Video Actually Ends Up
- iPhone: saved videos typically land in the Photos app, in the Recents album.
- Android: saved videos usually go to a Downloads folder inside your file manager, and many phones also mirror them into the Gallery app automatically.
If you can't find the file, check your browser's own download history (usually a downward-arrow icon in the toolbar) — it will show you exactly where the file was saved.
Saving Without the Watermark
TikTok's native in-app "Save" option stamps a watermark and username over the video. Using a downloader like savetiktok.sbs instead pulls the original clean file, so what lands in your gallery has no logo across it.
Tips for a Smooth Save
- Make sure the video is public — private videos and ones from accounts you don't follow (if the creator restricted saving) can't be downloaded.
- If a download stalls, check your connection and try again — see our slow download fixes guide.
- For photo posts, use the Photo tab instead of Video — see our slideshow guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to sign in to TikTok to do this?
No. As long as the video is public, you can paste its link into a downloader without ever logging into TikTok.
Will the video be the same quality as the original?
Yes — a downloader pulls TikTok's original source file, so you get the same resolution and bitrate as the version TikTok streams in the app.
Can I save a video from someone else's private account?
No. Downloaders can only access videos TikTok's servers serve publicly. Private videos are not accessible.
